About Shawn
Shawn began learning the piano at the young age of 5 and found his passion in music performance during his teenage years when he heard Maksim Mrvica perform the renowned ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’.

Aspiring to pursue his dream of being a concert pianist, Shawn enrolled into Lasalle College of the Arts for his Diploma and Bachelors in Classical Music Performance, majoring in piano.
During his study, he was privileged to be under the tutelage of renowned piano mentors like Dr John Sharpley, Mr Frank DeMeglio and Mr Benjamin Loh. Together with hard work and perseverance, Shawn successfully gained effective skills in piano practice and performance.
To date, Shawn has over 13 years of teaching experience, and maintains a 100% passing rate for students' graded ABRSM examinations. Many students have excelled under his guidance, achieving merits and distinctions in their ABRSM examinations.

To help students showcase their talents and build performance portfolio, annual concerts are held for students, and those with stellar results are sent to participate in annual international or regional piano competitions .
